Better Birthing Guide

Pushing and Laboring Positions for a Better Birth

Understanding how the body works, as well as the birth process will set you up for success during this amazing process. When a mother feels confident in her own body, she can fully trust the process.

Having a baby while laying on your back is not the only option.

I was instructed and told having a baby on my back was the only option. That along with the fact that an epidural was absolutely necessary. I had no idea that I could make up my own rules to how my birth would go!

With my first baby, we went into the hospital too early, they scared me into getting an epidural because there is so much pain associated with birth. I labored for 36 hours on my back and they pumped me full of fluids that took me almost a year to detox.

Fast forward to second baby, had her in the tub in 3 ½ hours in a dim-lit room with my entire support family around me. Talk about peaceful.

Finally, number three, had her 64 minutes after the first contraction in a power stance single leg squat position (shown in the guide). She was out in 2 pushes. I never felt so strong in my life!

I am the biggest advocate for birthing women. You have a choice, you have the power, you have everything in you to make the birth experience anything you desire.
Optimizing the body position, breathing patterns and your pelvic floor will help you achieve just that!
what others say...
In this guide, you will be able to really dive into the details of exactly what you want and do not want for your birthing experience.

Let your body and baby help you decide what positions, who is on your support team and what your birth looks like for you!

You will learn...

  • After a small mindset training, you will dive into the details of laboring positions where your birth partner can help stabilize, shift and support your needs. I recommend you practice these laboring positions as you want your partner to be well versed in your wants and needs, likes and dislikes before the day.

  • We dive into the pushing positions for birth-day. I have set up the guide to walk you through the reason why you would choose a certain position and Postural Restoration repositioning activities that will allow for more success in those desired pushing positions.

  • Fuel is vital for mama. I have an anti-inflammatory meal guide with recipes and shopping list. This is a very generalized food plan, so ask your doctor the specifics about your unique needs.
